WHAT MAKES ME A PROGRESSIVE PRINCIPAL

I live by the dictum “Never let a child’s schooling interfere with his education” so I try to inspire my staff to make the school a place where teaching is compulsory and learning is ever-growing which is why my students love the fun learning pattern which sets them apart from the rest.
I am a guru for the teachers and a second parent for the students who try to inspire by my very own example to be able, hardworking and enthusiastic about one’s work. My energy is contagious and so is my dedication & cheerful disposition and zeal to excel which inspires both my staff and students to march ahead with positivity and humility. I believe that the holistic development of the young ones depend on several interactive and complex factors. They include the socio-economic circumstances in which they are born, the environment in which they grow, their interpersonal relationships within the family, peer-group, values of the community in which they live and the opportunities for education and employment.
There is a need to look beyond evaluation and focus on recognizing parameters of child development and attitudes that can be taken care of at the prevention level itself. We as eduLEADERS are committed to think about the global methodologies of change. I have always endeavored towards enrichment of schools and seek to empower and support the teaching fraternity to enrich school environment and thus redefine the national guidelines for a better future of our empowered children.
I have always aimed to enable the schools to become future ready by taking a fresh look at the National curriculum, pedagogy assessment, training and learning technologies and by acting positively in their redesign. I firmly believe that a happy mind will always lead to a happy nation and to materialise this goal, I always take inspiration from the lives of great personalities like Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Stephen Hawkings, APJ Abdul Kalam to name a few.
Most importantly I have always bowed in front of almighty to lead me from darkness to light. I have been blessed by the superpowers of parental guidance, unflinching family support and the grave trust of my students and teachers. I have successfully accomplished the training sessions of both my students and teachers which helped them to excel in both Co–Scholastic and Scholastic aspects of the curriculum thereby grooming them as enlightened human beings and alert citizens of our nation. My efforts are fortunately result oriented as showcased by the excellent performance of my students in their board examinations since I stepped my foot on the threshold of Quality Education.

The world we live in and that our students will inherit is now facing massive challenges and revolutionary changes in technology, communication, economy, international politics, law, environment, social governance etc. For facing this world, the students would need to have a multifaceted knowledgebase. Therefore it would be be important to maintain a harmonious correspondence between what they need and what they are being taught. They need to be taught how to adapt to the ever accelerating changes which will inevitably be essential to success. They must be instilled with ability to work and compete with peers in developing creative solutions to complex problems. It is the point where the excellence lies. Enduring this all remains my mission as a Progressive Principal.

We follow the experiential learning method as opposed to rote learning, as this helps children understand concepts better and apply what they have learnt in real life situations.

Techniques on problem solving & critical thinking stimulate students to create, and allow faculty to assess original intellectual products that result from a synthesis of the course content and the intelligence, judgement, knowledge & skills of the students.
GROUP WORK AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL SKILLS AMIDST THE FACULTY
I believe that the prime issue we face is child abuse. I have worked by evolving children & faculty by way of a movie titled Innovative Skills & Values for Social Change which drew the attention towards the four pillars of Child Rights like Health, Education, Protection and Participation.
UNDERSTANDING & ACTION BASED LEARNING
Children learn by doing in my school which makes learning joyful, as they learn how to apply their knowledge. The exercises, case studies and examples have all been attuned to the sensibilities of the digital generation.
COLLABORATIVE & COOPERATIVE LEARNING PROJECTS FOR FACULTY DEVELOPMENT
It is about creating an expectation that children will share ideas, help one another and make the most of one another’s resources to bring new learning methodologies as planned. An indirect role which the teacher creates is the condition which catalyses the children to initiate collaborative activities themselves and respond to interests, purposes & needs arising from them.
EDUCATION ACCENTUATING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND SAFEGUARDING DEMOCRACY
In India, the trend in education shows that educationists are reminded that their table is the formation of character and training of good and productive citizens. We develop education for Multiple Intelligence like social & interpersonal intelligence etc.

Learning is neither age bound nor class room bound, but it takes place throughout the life. In all forms, learning is a great activity. It gives one new knowledge to improve one’s life. In order to be a lifelong learner I emphasize constantly on a few guidelines such as, having a book, keep on the agenda, grab hold of more logical friends, everlasting philosophy, practice paves the path for perfection, sharing of thoughts.
