Implemented Digital Platform for communication and cashless transaction. Installed solar panels for alternative source of energy. Integrated ICT with Education. Took up community outreach programmes and cleanliness drives. Encouraged all round development, curricular/co-curricular & sports/yoga. Broadened the vision anchored to our roots as well.
MY MISSION AS A PROGRESSIVE PRINCIPAL
I will have tie-ups with Government Officials, NGOs and other industries to collaborate with our educational institution for broadening the vision and deepening the roots
LEARNING BY DOING
We provide hands on experience for the children through science/maths Labs, science exhibitions, presentations etc and encourage work education and group activities. Research based learning, field trips/industrial visits are always a part of the curriculum along with participation in inter-school competitions.
INTEGRATED CURRICULUM
Panel discussions are made mandatory before finalizing of any of the subject activity for ensuring interdisciplinary approach. Multi-disciplinary projects are administered. Workshops are organized for empowering teachers to integrate disciplines.
INTEGRATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTO EDUCATION THROUGH FACULTY
Faculty is given freedom to come out with their own ideas for the best implementation of activities They are trained to use new technologies which will help them in teaching in an effective manner Their innovative initiatives are incorporated with educational environment such as online labs , digital learning etc
PROBLEM SOLVING & CRITICAL THINKING AMIDST THE FACULTY
Faculty is given freedom to plan the best activities for their teaching which involves problem solving and critical thinking. They are guided to plan activities which are challenging for the students yet age appropriate and emphasis on inclusion of HOTs and Value based questions in the question papers that are set by them. We have designed worksheets for students from class 7 to 10 to this effect.
GROUP WORK AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL SKILLS AMIDST THE FACULTY
We conduct Shraddha course (5 days in house teachers training) for all faculty twice in a year and organize workshop/sessions for the teachers for skill development. Sessions to develop communication skills, leadership qualities, managing conflict etc are also a part of our efforts.
UNDERSTANDING & ACTION BASED LEARNING
Made sure that teaching is activity based and hands on experience is provided to the maximum. Encourages seminars, presentations, making models etc. Question papers are set in such a way that HOTs and critical thinking are emphasized. Promotes comprehension, relating concepts, questioning etc.
COLLABORATIVE & COOPERATIVE LEARNING PROJECTS FOR FACULTY DEVELOPMENT
Faculty is encouraged to contribute, stay on task, help each other, encourage each other, share, solve problems, give and accept feedback from peers while doing group tasks.
EDUCATION ACCENTUATING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND SAFEGUARDING DEMOCRACY
I strongly believe that education accentuates social responsibility and safeguard democracy. I believe that difference of opinion can be boldly expressed, but with an appropriate tone, words and body language and I use sandwich method of expressing my ideas – first by acknowledging others opinion, then by explaining the positive side of my opinion strongly and boldly and finally again appreciating others ideas.
DESIGN & DELIVERY OF A LEARNING ECOSYSTEM WHEREBY HIGHLY PERSONALIZED LEARNING ACCOUNTING IS DONE FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL’S PERSONAL GOALS
Our school learning ecosystem is designed such a way that personalized learning accounting is done for each individual’s personal goals.
INTEGRATION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE AND SERVICE LEARNING PROJECTS INTO THE DAILY CURRICULUM
We take up different community outreach programs every year which are incorporated into the daily curriculum. Some examples for community outreach programs that we have taken up are visit and supply of books and stationary items to the nearby government school by students, visit to orphanage and donation of useful items, Swachata Abhiyan awareness rallies etc. I have also conducted free workshops and training for government school children and teachers.
FUTURISTIC SELECTION OF SUBJECT CONTENT
I was given an opportunity to work as a part of the project Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, through which I could share my vision regarding skill development in terms of health, hygiene and harmony.
LIFELONG LEARNING AND SOCIAL SKILLS OF FACULTY MEMBERS
Faculty is encouraged and given opportunities to go for higher studies and attend workshops/talks by eminent personalities. Staff exchange programs, seminars and group activities are encouraged. As a bonafide teacher of Art of Living , I also conduct courses of AOL which helps the faculties to develop social skills.
