It remains the quintessential quest at ReTHINK INDIA to invoke innumerable Communities of Practice and engage their multifarious stakeholders around a vast range of contemporary as well as futuristic narratives.
Progressive Principals of India is one such Community of Practice which has been curated with the explicit intent of creating a pro-active community of progressive principals across the nook and cranny of India which can assume the leadership position and thereby lead the narrative of futuristic education for the creation of a New India.
It gives me immense pleasure to put this first of its kind unique publication which carries the nuggets of experiential wisdom of the 70 select Progressive Principals of India on a set of 14 thematic areas onto which they were evaluated and accorded the title of Progressive Principal of India thereby.
There are a number of additional submissions which couldn’t be made a part of this publication, but are posted onto the companion website www.progressiveprincipals.in. A facebook page www.facebook.com/progressiveprincipals has also been set out to continue this grand conversation incessantly.
The Community of Progressive Principals of India shall increase by the year with annual additions of more and more Progressive Principals to the fray. The existing members shall expand the envelope of progressiveness further in tune with the needs and aspirations of the day.
As you shall find, each of the profiles are a treatise in themselves carrying a lifetime compilation of deeper insights. The sequencing of the profiles has been done at random so as to provide an opportunity for learning which is devoid of all stereotypes and prejudices.
This is a treatise for the initiated ones who are inquisitive to increase their individual mark on the horizons of education in India. Hope this effort of ours would be liked and appreciated by them.
